And they share some pretty amazing recipes along the way. “We decided it would be a fun way to tell our story as ranchers along with sharing our passion for good food,” Wrenn says.“I think it’s a cool story that Arturo is a real cowboy. He spends his day horseback, wearing his chaps, boots and spurs, and then will come home and cook a five-course meal just because. And his cooking is some of the best food I have ever had! “I also believe that all food has a story and is a great way to start a conversation,” she continues.“So why not tell our story and start that conversation through shar- ing our recipes of our favorite foods?” “I think we’re in for some challeng- ing times,” Arturo says.“Agriculture as a whole has just gotten so efficient. Fewer producers are producing more prod- uct with fewer resources. Competing proteins are matching beef production stride for stride in increasing production of product. “As beef producers we need to assure that we’re delivering an affordable and whole- some product relative to other competing proteins. Further, if we’re producing more beef than we can consume here in the United States, we need to be able to export that product. To me, this is the challenging part because I feel like it’s out of our hands. “On the positive side, I see a lot of operations being man- aged by the next generation.
