She has spent the last 13 years as the market analyst and former general manager with Gateway Livestock Exchange of Taber, Alberta. Gateway provides clients with cattle marketing, financing, management and transporta- tion services across North America. To say the least, Anne wears many hats; she and her husband also run a commercial cow-calf herd. In addition, she has a market information consulting business. In her spare time, she is on the boards of directors of the Canadian and Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef, Cana- dian Beef Advisors and the Saskatchewan Agriculture Development Fund. She also spent 20 years serving on various Calgary Stampede agriculture committees. Anne cut her teeth in the business, spending 21 years as a market analyst and manager of CANFAX, the market information division of the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association. CANFAX is the Canadian version of the CattleFax group in the United States. One of the high- lights of the annual Alberta Beef Industry Conference was the market outlook session, which Anne and a CattleFax analyst presented. Those candid and entertaining dialogues became legendary and a much-anticipated event. Anne remains an in-demand speaker in the cattle and beef business and is well-known within industry circles throughout Canada and the United States. She is a loyal attendee of the U.S. Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show, having attended for more than 30 years. In 2012, she received the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal for her contribu- tions to the Canadian cattle industry.  Oct. 1 Santa Gertrudis Breeders International Annual Meeting Cullman, Ala. www.santagertrudis.com Oct. 4-6 Texas Cattle Feeders Assn.
