Sara has been showing hogs for eight years in 4-H and FFA, and brought her purebred Yorkshire pig, Mr. Fredrickson, to the event. “I learned about the Meat and Greet event from my FFA chapter and I was excited to apply,” Sara says.“I am looking forward to making connections with new people and further my agricultural educa- tion. I have had a lot of questions from urban people here about my pig’s breed, what he eats and how he grows so fast.” Growing up in the city, Sara is very grateful for her opportunity to be involved in FFA and agriculture, which has helped her to grow as a person and develop many new skills such as hard work, responsibility and dedication.
