KARL Program Developing Leadership Excellence It's a Miracle Mary Sawyers, owner of Shine-to-Go, headquartered in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, passed away in late summer. Mary’s boot shine stand was a staple at nearly every big cattle convention. Her friendly face lit up many cowboys ready for a break in her comfortable chair. Mary will be missed, but her shine stand will still be on hand, as family members and employees carry on the tradition Mary built. Cattle Community Loses a Treasure KARL Class XV has had a great day networking, learning, and experiencing Garden City and the surrounding Southwest Kansas area. Tours included Brookover Ranch, Tyson beef packing plant, DFA, Meis & Sons Trucking and Sunflower Electric.
