Delivers value. I was fortunate to be able to attend a Beef Sustainability Ag Media Workshop last fall, put on by National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) on behalf of the Beef Checkoff. Over the course of my professional career, I have attended a LOT of workshops, seminars, meetings, conventions, classes and the like. This one was top notch and the information presented was invaluable; you can rest assured that your checkoff dollars are being put to good use. The workshop focused on providing scientific, factual, well-researched and well-founded information to ag media on the topic of sustainability. The end goal was to arm us with the informa- tion to not only educate our readership on the topic so that you all can respond to various questions or concerns from consumers, but to enable us journalists in the hope that the consuming public will come to us as experts on this topic, instead of the latest internet blogger who has an agenda. As part of this charge, NCBA has created a library of tools that we can all use. Go to https://www.beefresearch . org/beefsustainability.aspx and you will find a host of information and tools on the topic, much of which can be down- loaded or shared with anyone who has questions. What I find most helpful, interesting and encouraging, is that the material is presented in such a profes- sional, appealing and user-friendly manner. Today’s consumer is very visual and expects instantaneous results to their questions, and the information presented on these pages deliver. Plus, it’s all backed up by scientific research, as indicated by the sourcing. No fake news here. Information overload is rampant these days, so breaking it all down for easy consumption is important. In this nifty Beef Sustainability Animated Info- graphic (https://www.beefresearch.org/ sustainability/) the breakdown is done for us. This interactive infographic gives straight answers to many sustainability questions. As a user works through this infographic and the questions, they can access any of 20 Sustainability Beef Fact Sheets in PDF format that can be saved, printed and passed along. While this information is also available on https:// www.beefresearch.org/beefsustainability. aspx, the infographic gives it in one direct click. Another great tool for all is the Beef Sustainability Fact Card shown on the previous page. If you want a copy for your own use, go to https://www. beefresearch.org/CMDocs/BeefResearch/ Sustainability_FactSheet_TopicBriefs/ Beef_Sustainability_Facts_042718- 07_041618-06.pdf. If nothing else, it makes for a nice item to keep on your dashboard should you ever get into one of those difficult conversations with an uninformed consumer who is convinced that the beef industry will be the cause of the end of the world. From my high-level view, it’s reassuring to know that our industry is being proac- tive, active and intentional, and it’s even more reassuring to know that we are armed with information to adequately tell our side of the story. I guess it is time to start getting the word out. 
