This coupon must accompany the samples. * Good through December 2018. I n a world where almost everything can be done online, Servi-Tech Laboratories’ website does its part to deliver. With a username and password connected to a Servi-Tech account, viewing reports is just the beginning. All current and historical sample reports are at your fingertips, day or night. Testing values can be downloaded as a CSV file or in customized download format to seamlessly flow into formula- tion software. There are numerous ways that data can be used online also. For instance, whole cottonseed samples from a set period of time can be statistically analyzed to show the mean, highest and lowest values, standard deviations and coefficients of variation. These same samples can also be graphed for a visual display of specific testing values over time. This is appli- cable for customers like hay growers to graph percent protein or fiber over the course of a set of cuttings. If desired, a custom logo or heading can be added to the graph with the capability to email directly to a potential buyer. What many Servi-Tech customers appreciate is the feature called “Feedstuff History.” This handy tool encompasses test- ing values from wet chemistry data from as far back as 1999. When trying to incorporate a new commodity in a ration, having some idea of what the nutrient content has historically tested is beneficial. Any of the analyzes we offer can be selected for a snapshot of testing averages, highs and lows. This can also be utilized to see how your specific samples compare to historical aver- ages. Since testing values vary by region, there is a box to sort by state or zip code so that data can be narrowed down to commodities sent to the lab from a specific area. As with other reports on the website, these can be emailed or downloaded for use in calculations. Quality assurance or regulatory manager Servi-Tech customers who oversee multiple feed mills have found the tool “Samples Ran Report” very helpful to review locations’ submissions per month. That same type of report can be useful for invoicing or accounting purposes. Companies with multiple locations can monitor sample counts for verification of compli- ance with testing schedules. To more closely monitor certain testing levels, the “Feed Specifications” option under “Account Settings” allows a mini- mum and maximum to be set with email alerts when testing values are outside of those specifications. An example of this is utilized by our feed mill customers. If a testing value does not fall in the range guaranteed on a feed tag, a timely alert to the mill allows for quicker control mea- sures to be implemented. An automatic rerun of the analysis in question can also be triggered if preferred. With service in our name, we aim to provide the highest level of service possible, instead of just delivering a testing report. Our competent programmers have customized reports and added many special features online to better enhance the reporting experience. Key feed accounts specialist Robin Cox is ready and will- ing to explore those customizations with your company. The Servi-Tech IT department is feverishly working to make our helpful website even better. Try out the features mentioned above and be ready for more powerful tools to come.  At Your Service, Online Making the Planet More Productive Servi-Tech Laboratories Letter to the Editor Dear Betty Jo, CALF News is a good source of info for a guy who sold the feedyard in ’09 and whose only connection to the business is buying a few feeders and grazers. I got CALF in today’s mail and learned Friona Industries bought the Brown’s Cattle Empire yards 1 and 2. I also read the best Baxter Black I’ve ever read! Your “Recollections” column about Mr. W.D. Farr was “straight” about Russia, and I always read what JimWhitt has to say. I will read all CALF has to say. I only read the news in CALF and in BEEF . I know and trust those folks.  Bob Sims, Hereford, Texas
