What better description can one hope for? She has worked in the Phelps County Feeders financial administra- tion office for the past 28 years, enjoying the cattle business and lending a reliable sense of trustworthiness to a large group of employees and managers. She began her life in Illinois and moved west, where her father gained employ- ment in the ranching and cattle feeding business. It is a treasured part of her legacy to work for a feedyard. Her parents, Everett and Emma Jean Breiner, are both deceased, but remain a great influence in the Fullerton family. Our Cameo has two grown children: Nathan, who shares her home near the feedlot, and daughter Rachael, who lives in Grand Island. Although she enjoys cooking and baking, Fullerton admits these skills are employed only when time permits, saying that Nathan serves as her official “guinea pig.” “There are lots of scary things in life,” she says, feeling blessed that, having been diagnosed with MS, she appreciates what she can do. Of greatest importance are her job, her family and activities at Westmark Evangelical Free Church. She is most happy to talk about her beloved German Shepherd, Harley, whom she describes as “100 pounds of attitude.” It’s obvious she will never be harmed by outsiders as long as Harley is there to protect. The canine is also a constant source of entertainment. Fullerton is clearly a model employee, and Phelps County Feeders appreciates her efforts.  Ad Index Oct. 12-13 NCBA Regional Stockmanship & Stewardship Event • Pasco, Wash. www.beefusa.org Oct. 18-19 North American Meat Institute Animal Care & Handling Conference • Kansas City, Mo. www.meatinstitute.org Oct. 26-28 7th Annual American Akaushi Association Convention, San Marcos, Texas • www.akaushi.com Nov. 11-13 Texas Cattle Feeders Association Convention San Antonio, Texas • www.tcfa.org Nov. 28-30 Kansas Livestock Association Convention Wichita, Kan.• www.kla.org Dec. 4-7 Nebraska Cattlemen Convention Kearney, Neb. www.nebraskacattlemen.org 2019 Jan. 30-Feb. 1 Cattle Industry Convention & NCBA Trade Show, New Orleans, La. • www.ncba.org The face of the cattle industry www.calfnews.net National Account Manager Jessica Ebert | (785) 477-1941 For information on advertising in CALF News Magazine, contact: Allflex USA Inc................. 17 Bayer Animal Health. ........ 2 Brute Cattle Equipment/ Dodge Mfg....................... 45 Central States Testing..... 35 Conestoga Energy.......... 19 Kemin........................ 14, 15 Lallemand Animal Nutrition........................... 23 Micronutrients USA......... 21 Midcontinent Livestock Supplements................... 45 Midwest Mixer Service...... 9 Multimin USA Inc............. 13 National Cattlemen’s Beef Association...................... 55 NBO3 Technologies. ....... 39 Phibro Animal Health Corporation..................... 33 Roto-Mix............................ 3 Servi-Tech Laboratories... 49 Stay-Tuff Fence................. 7 Texas Feed Fat................ 39 The Concrete Works....... 47 Turnkey Computer Systems.......................... 27 Valley Proteins Inc........... 25 Z Tags. ............................ 56
