This will no doubt cause another re-evalu- ation to some long-standing and trusted beliefs.  The line seems a mile long in front of the Nebraska Cattlemen Beef Pit at the Nebraska State Fairgrounds on Labor Day. Folks patiently stood in line to savor great beef that is perfectly prepared. As one hungry man said, “No one stands in a line like this to eat fake meat.” Photo by Patti Wilson  2021 Spicer Gripp Memorial Roping August’s 2021 Spicer Gripp Memorial Roping in Hereford, Texas, surpassed the $1 million mark in overall funds raised for the Spicer Gripp Memorial Scholarship at West Texas A&M University in Canyon. The “Gripp” again corralled the world’s best tie down and team ropers to the classic event held in memory of Spicer Gripp, who inspired and helped numerous youth before his death in the early 1990s. Hereford businesses and many others who support the beef industry and all of agriculture donate their time and resources to the roping.
