She was born on the Fred Charolais Ranch south of Sargent, Neb., and has made her home in the vicinity ever since. Our Cameo has a unique career with DV Auction; she lists and schedules purebred cattle sales. Later, she videos these cattle for advertising and use at production sales in six states. Attending the sales in person, McIntosh sets up her computer system to receive online bids via DV Auc- tion’s website. Assisting sale management, she makes sure all online bids are turned in to the auctioneer. Currently, many breeders have opted to leave their cattle yarded outside the sale facility and, instead, run their video spots in the sale ring. It saves time and stress on cattle and crews and makes McIntosh’s services twice as useful. Some sales have gone online only during the past year, making her efforts especially important. She works 50 to 60 sales each year and puts in lots of “cold weather time” videoing clients’ cattle out in the country. McIntosh has had additional adventures working the sales of Boer Goats, White Tailed Deer and Greyhounds. She’s the mother of four grown sons – Ty, Sloan, Chanc and Grady – and the grandmother of Kara McIntosh. She enjoys a break when sale season ends, joining friends kayaking in the Calamus River. Gardening pro- vides relaxation, and cooking is her favorite activity. The Custer County native keeps a bed and breakfast apartment at the rear of her home, available through Airbnb.com . McIntosh says she’s extremely fortunate to have found a profession where she can work with good livestock and good livestock people. “They are the best.” 
