Our last baby was born and we have turned our cows out to pasture. And boy are they sure happy! Although it was a blessing to have all of our babies now, we did have some unexpected surprises; three of our show heifers just so happened to be pregnant! We aborted all of them because we are going to show them a couple more times yet this season. That’s when we decided to put the two bulls out to another pasture. Going into this show season, we were really expecting to go to at least two spring shows. Well, that expectation was blown out of the water because we only went to one, which I’m not very happy about. The reason being had to do with forensic tournaments, color guard meet- ings and band. Although I am still a little concerned about not going to as many spring shows, my animals are usually pretty calm. Since it’s graduation season, I’m real- izing exactly how fast high school has gone for me so far. So many of my senior friends are graduating and, although next year I’ll still be a junior, it makes me think about how time flies by so fast. When I was little, I thought that being a teenager was where it was at. Or if it wasn’t, then it was being a young adult in college or something like that. But now I realize that the moments that you think will last forever are only a fraction of what goes on during that time. Being able to drive was one of my childhood dreams of being a teen. And although having my own car and driving was a big milestone, I definitely wouldn’t say that it MADE my high school career. Instead it’s more about the personal memories that are made, being in groups like band or forensics, and all of the inside jokes that come with it. I’m 16, and honestly, I don’t think about it much. Instead of worrying about living up to the fantasies of a number, I just live it, because if you daydream about the number or mile- stone ahead, then you might miss out on the ones happening now. 
